We know the words “routine inspection” can sometimes make tenants feel nervous. But we want to put your mind at ease — these inspections aren’t about judging how you live, checking inside your drawers, or making sure your bed is made.

We carry out inspections every 4 months, and the main purpose is to:

• Check the general wear and tear of the property
• Identify any current or preventative maintenance issues
• Recommend improvements that will benefit both you and the property
• Ensure the home is being looked after so it remains safe and comfortable

After the first couple of inspections, it becomes less about you as a tenant and much more about the property itself.

👉 What we don’t do:

• We will never open your drawers!
• We don’t mind if you’ve got a pile of washing waiting to be folded or the bed isn’t made — we know you live in your home.
• The only time we’ll ask you to address something is if it could cause damage to the property

👉 Some common areas we do check:

1. Shower screens & tiles – soap scum and mould can stain if not cleaned regularly, causing permanent damage.
2. Ovens & cooktops – regular cleaning prevents permanent damage to surfaces of these items
3. Under sinks –We’re checking flexi hoses, which can rust and burst, causing major damage to the property and your contents. We are not checking what you’re storing!
4. Roof leaks & gutters – to make sure there’s no staining, mould, or blockages.
5. A quick chat with you – to see if there’s anything you’ve noticed that needs attention.

👉 About the 360° Camera:
We use AI technology to help spot maintenance issues we might otherwise miss. While this can seem a little confronting, please know:

• If people or personal items appear in a photo, they are blurred out before anything is sent to the landlord.
• The focus is 100% on the property — not you.

At the end of the day, inspections are about keeping the property safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for you to live in. They’re not meant to intrude on your privacy.
